Short, because the site is simple: it is free, it runs on your device, and it tells you what it cannot do.
Using the site
DetectMark is free to use, with no account and no sign-up. You may use it for personal or commercial work. There is no usage quota, because there is no server doing the work: the processing happens on your own device.
What the results mean
Every check reports one of four states: Clean, Found, Unknown or Unsupported.
Clean means a check ran and found nothing. Found means a check ran and found something specific, listed with its position. Unknown means a check could not resolve, usually because no public detector exists for it. Unsupported means no such check was run at all.
None of those is a claim about who wrote a document. DetectMark reports evidence about characters and file metadata. It does not produce an AI likelihood score, and it should not be used as one.
Accuracy
The provider facts on this site are dated, sourced and reviewed, and they can still go out of date between reviews. The status page carries a last-checked date for exactly that reason. Treat it as a well-maintained summary, not as a substitute for the provider's own documentation.
The tool is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Cleanup results depend on the file or text you supply, and no output should be treated as a guarantee that a particular mark is present or absent.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content you process and for what you do with the results.
Removing metadata from a file you do not own, stripping provenance information in order to misrepresent a work's origin, or using these tools to support academic or professional dishonesty are all your decisions and your liability, not the site's. DetectMark deliberately publishes what it cannot do so that nobody can claim it promised more.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DetectMark is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site or the tools, including data loss from a cleanup operation. Keep an original copy of any file before stripping metadata from it.

Article text on this site is written by DetectMark editorial. The data behind the AI watermark status page is published for reuse under CC BY 4.0, with attribution. Quotations from provider announcements belong to those providers and are used with citation.
